Customized SEO – How I Do It

Customized SEO is one of the easiest things to have done to your web site, and yet so many people do not have it done because it seems like it will be so difficult.

Honestly, you can do customized SEO to your own web site quite easily, and I am going to teach you how right now.

Now, before I show you anything, I want to explain how I think about SEO.  What I have learned through trial and error is that every aspect of your web site does not have to be optimized.  All you have to do is have your web site better optimized than the other web sites in the top ten results for your keyword, do more offpage SEO than they do, and in time, you should be in the top ten results.

So here is how you do it:

1)  Make sure your title is optimized for the keyword you have chosen.  For example, if ‘customized SEO’ is my keyword, my title should read “Customized SEO”.

2)  Make sure your keyword tag has your chosen keyword first in the list.

3)  Make sure your keyword is one of the first few in your description.

4)  Make sure that you use your keyword a few times in the content of your web page, and use it at least twice in the first paragraph.

5)  Make sure you have one <h1> header tag containing your keyword.

6)  Get backlinks to your web site.  There are several ways you can do this:

a)  Go to other web sites with similar keywords as yours and ask for a link to your web site.

b)  Submit your web page and keyword to web directories (this is generally a tactic to use when you are focusing on your main, or index, page)

c)  Write articles and submit them to at least 50 different online article directories, including a link to the web page you are optimizing as a text anchor link.
