Consultant Internet Marketing Seo – Do You Really Need a Consultant? 

Do you really need a consultant for internet marketing seo?  At first glance, it might seem like you do.  You are bombarded with daily messages indicating that if you do not optimize your web site for the search engines, you will surely fail, and that internet marketing seo is very difficult to do. 

I disagree on both points.  You will not surely fail if you do not gain search engine prominence.  Now, that is not to say that search engine prominence is not important.  But there are plenty of ways to make money online without mastering the search engines.   

I also disagree with the second point.  Seo is not difficult to do – but some would have you believe it, perhaps so they can sell you an expensive course in how to do it, who knows? 

So how can you do it on your own? 

Here are the steps to being your own consultant in internet marketing seo:

1)  Learn what keywords you can get to the top ten in the search engines.  There are plenty of free online keyword tools to help you get started. 

2)  Put your keywords in the title, keyword list, description, and content of your web site. 

3)  Get backlinks to your web site from other web sites.  There are 3 ways I like to do that:

            a)  Exchange links with other webmasters 

            b)  Submit your web site to online web directories 

            c)  Write articles, include your web site in a link within them, and submit them to the various online article directories
